 | Come join us on December 12, Sunday, 3pm , at St. Peter's College, Jersey City, for a tribute to Levi Celerio, Philippine National Artist and Poet of Philippine Music | Oct 14, 2007 |
Filipinos best each other at karaoke...and who has not sung “Gaano Kita Kamahal,” “Saan Ka Man Naroroon”, or “Kahit Konting Pagtingin” at his/her turn at the mic? We have Levi Celerio to thank for all these wonderful songs with his knack for just the right turn of phrase. In appreciation of Celerio's invaluable contribution to 20th century Philippine music, the Philippine Chamber Rondalla is presenting an all-Celerio program this year of his 100th birth anniversary.
Under the stage direction of Ms. Elvira Reyes, violinist Leonor Paliguin, sopranos Bituin Escarcha and Rosemarie Flores, tenor Erwin Escarcha, folk dancer Amia Zalamea, and a few surprise guests will add color to the whole presentation.
Tickets at $15 only advance ($20 at the door; $5 for kids ten and younger). E-mail us at PhilChamberRondalla@yahoo.com or call 908-359-3297.
Hope to see all of you at this fantastic event!
